The purpose of this rotation was to learn more about vascular physiology and gain experience conducting biochemical procedures and experiments with animal models.
Tasks performed include the following:
- Conducted multiple western blotting experiments
- Dissected rat gastrocnemius to reveal arteriolar network
- Assisted with vessel bath changes and recording data
- Concocted solutions for vessel experiments along with pH adjustment
- Created ties for vessel cannulation
